Environment meets Pedagogy
“More than a place of learning, this is a space of transformation. A school that welcomes, inspires, and evolves—with architecture, culture, and people working in harmony to shape tomorrow’s minds. From parental cafés to self-discovery arenas, every corner supports personal growth and collective responsibility.” Our concept proposes the renewal of the cultural service of education by evolving the school environment and activating dynamic pedagogy. It embraces active parental involvement and external project participation, optimizes the role of teachers, and fosters student collaboration. We introduce a new approach to evaluation, continuous training, and knowledge dissemination, empowering school autonomy aligned with the evolving needs of today’s workforce.
A Year-Round Educational Model for Innovation, Inclusion, and Emotional Growth
School Quality Life is an innovative model that merges kindergarten, primary, and secondary education into a unified school environment — open and active all year long (52 weeks). Instead of separating students by rigid academic stages, we divide them into numerological age groups (2–6, 6–12, 12–16) and organize them into Cultural Islands, guided by three “Mentors” rather than teachers.
Key Features:
Cultural Islands & Educational Oases:
Students work, explore, and collaborate within modular, interactive learning spaces. Instead of hallways, they transition through “Educational Oases” — areas for play, sports, reflection, and rest.
No grades — only participation points:
Learning is self-assessed through quizzes and team challenges. Participation earns points; lack of participation is not punished. This encourages effort without fear.
Year-round structure (52 weeks):
Learning never stops — and doesn’t have to. The school remains open all year, with alternating rhythms of study, creativity, and rest.
Emotion-driven learning:
Emotions are not distractions — they’re data. Our model includes emotional literacy, guided self-expression, and intergenerational dialogue as core subjects.
Guides, not teachers:
Each group of 40 students is supported by three adult guides, helping them orient their paths, resolve difficulties, and foster deep learning relationships.
Autonomy, identity, collaboration:
Students are free to sit, lie down, or hang upside down — as long as they remain engaged and respectful of the learning environment.
Smart city compatible:
The architecture, rhythm, and logic of this school are designed to integrate with cities that value innovation, inclusion, and sustainability.
Welcome to the future
This school project is an innovative model, designed to integrate harmoniously with Telosa's vision. The main inspiration comes from Raphael's Renaissance fresco, The School of Athens, reinterpreted in a contemporary way to define an educational environment in which architecture and pedagogy merge, creating dynamic and inclusive learning spaces. Stylized columns outline thematic areas, promoting the synergy between educational oases and cultural islands.
Entrance and Reception
The reception area represents the nerve center of the reception, ensuring safety, administration and orientation for students and families. An advanced technological infrastructure, with interactive screens and digital libraries, encourages the direct participation of parents in school life. Open-space offices promote communication, environmental awareness and social interaction, while a meeting room also used as an exhibition gallery allows the students' work to be enhanced, underlining the link between creativity and learning.
Spaces for Conviviality and Participation
The innovative "Mamy&Dady" Lobby Bar offers a meeting area for families, encouraging dialogue between school and parents. A space dedicated to socializing and sharing, where it is possible to take advantage of catering services, stations for electronic devices and moments of active participation in school activities. The direct view of the Isola della Matematica creates an informal learning context, reducing academic stress and promoting student well-being.
Health, Culture and Technological Innovation
The infirmary plays a strategic role in health and personal hygiene education, raising students' awareness of correct daily well-being practices. A distinctive element is the presence of a three-meter diameter globe, a symbol of international openness and cultural exchange. The integration of artistic reproductions and immersive technologies, such as holograms and interactive installations, enriches the educational experience and guides visitors to discover the institute.
Teaching and Nutrition: An Integrated Approach
The project includes an innovative catering system with areas dedicated to nutrition and educational gastronomy. Structures such as Tony’s Restaurant, Mama Rosa, The Bakery, Mamy&Dady and Zia Lucia offer students spaces for educational breaks, promoting nutritional education through practical experiences and workshops dedicated to cooking and healthy eating.
Sports Activities and Psychophysical Wellbeing
The school environment is equipped with strategically located fitness areas to encourage spontaneous physical activity and body awareness. Two macro-sports areas, L’Arena and Il Circo, allow the practice of structured disciplines and freer recreational-motor activities, stimulating the active involvement of students.
Personalized Learning and Assessment
A specifically dedicated area allows students to carry out tests and self-assessments to monitor their progress and develop a conscious approach to educational growth. The use of innovative tools allows for an accurate measurement of skills, facilitating the personalized educational path.
Green Spaces and Environmental Sustainability
The Green Park and Green Zones extend throughout the school campus, promoting an educational approach oriented towards sustainability. The management and maintenance of these areas promote ecological awareness and individual responsibility towards the environment.
